To sign up for USA Football's new background screening program with the National Center for Safety Initiatives, please follow all of the these steps:
1. Sign up for afree League Administrator Membership at http://www.usafootball.com/users/register_admin. As a USA Football League Administrator Member, you will receive background screening discounts with NCSI.
2. Log in as a league administrator member using your user name and password
3. On the right-hand menu, under Membership Services, Clickthe background checks button.
4. Click Start application towards the bottom of the page. This will open a new window at the NCSI web site.
5. Sign up with NCSI. (This is an additional signup but this allows you to get the USA Football discount.

The National Center for Safety Initiatives' Fully Managed Background Screening Program for USA Football Members is the Gold Standard for background checks in the youth-serving industry. This program is a combination of comprehensive searches for criminal and sex offender information along with full administration of the process by NCSI to provide maximum protection for the kids at a reasonable cost to the organization.
Search Components
NCSI’s Check-it-Twice™ searches are the foundation for the program and are run through two independent, screened and selected national database providers. These searches are:
- National Criminal Database Search
- All Available State Sex Offender Registries Search
- Social Security Number & Address Verification
- OFAC Federal Terrorist Database Search
In addition to the Check-it-Twice™ searches:
- County Courthouse Search of county of most recent and longest residency in the past five years
