From California to Massachusetts, USA Football has visited and talked to youth football volunteers to find out exactly what their organizations need to enhance the experience for young players.
“All coaches and commissioners are volunteers and they need to be educated constantly,” says Mark Meana, Chairman, Fairfax County (Va.) Youth Football League. “USA Football provides those resources and it’s easily accessible on their web site.”
For coaches and administrators, the USA Football web network is a series of free league, club, and team web sites. They are interactive web sites where you can post your schedule, store your rosters, keep contact information, and communicate to your players and their parents. The sites are customizable and league administrators can allow their coaches to edit their own teams’ sites.
Coaches can learn more about communication and X’s and O’s with the online coaching course. Starting from the basics and moving into advanced youth football strategy, the USA Football online coaching course will help a good coach become a great coach.
For officials, the rules interpretation & video library is a unique learning tool. After each video is complete, there is audio and video commentary on proper mechanics. With hundreds of plays to learn from, there is something for every situation.
